Volunteer to be a Research Associate
If you are planning to travel or intern abroad, you can make a difference and gain field research experience by joining our network of research volunteers. Associates in our program interview overseas health workers about the accessibility of misoprostol, a life-saving postpartum hemorrhage treatment, and other drugs that could drastically lower maternal mortality rates all over the world.
Associates are provided with a simple, standardized questionnaire to administer to pharmacists, doctors, drug distributors and others to determine where and how women can find misoprostol. The survey was prepared with the help professional midwives, health workers, public health academics and relevant business executives. Saving Mothers will leverage this database of information to lobby for the registry and distribution of misoprostol where it is not yet available. To join our international research network, please send us an email with "Research Network" in the subject line.
