3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

Organizing a charity basketball tournament at your high school or college is a great way to raise awareness of Saving Mothers' work among your peers and raise money for us at the same time. And you - and all participants - can earn community service hours for your efforts! If possible, try to align the timing of the tournament to coincide with either International Women's Day (March 8th) or Mother's Day for maximum exposure. Just be sure to involve your Dean and/or Director of Athletics in planning the event to ensure the best result. Here are some ideas about how to structure the event: 

- Each team can have 3-5 members (2 subs allowed)

- Ask each participant to donate $20 in order to play

- Try to get at least 8 teams for the tournament (24 people minimum)

- Play games to 11 points or a 20 minute time limit

- Be sure to organize the brackets well in advance

- Sell refreshments to raise even more money!
